What a historical night Monday March 8 2010 was for millions of wrestling fans around the world as well as this Monster. It was, without a doubt, the most exciting, memorable, and passionate night of my life as TNA was re launched on Monday nights from 9 to 11 PM, once again igniting and marking the return of the Monday night wars. We proved a lot that night. A lot to wrestling fans across the world.....and a lot to ourselves at TNA. We proved that we belonged on Monday night competing for the viewership and loyalty of wrestling fans across the world tuning in to wrestling on Monday, which is historically where wrestling fans are accustomed to watching. Being a major part of the event, along with my friend, Hulk Hogan, only made it the most memorable and special night of my life.
Hulk and I were victorious in the end over AJ Styles and Ric Flair, but it took a lot of determination and perseverence from Hulk and I to get the job done. Flair and AJ are two formidable opponents to say the least, so Hulk and I knew they wouldn’t be an easy task to defeat. Things were complicated even more due to the actions of Sting. Hulk and I were more shocked than anything about Sting’s actions, especially when his actions lead to Hulk and I's beat down. In the end, however, Sting’s actions along with AJ and Flair only made Hulk and I even more angry and determined to defeat AJ and Flair, which we did in timely fashion in the main event that evening.
It was a great night of surprise and intrique throughout the Impact zone. The arrival of RVD sent shock waves throughout the wrestling world as one of wrestlings best had now joined TNA in its fight to be number one. The crowd was electric as RVD defeated Sting in his TNA debut to the rouse of all the fans jammed into the Impact zone. And What can I say about Jeff Hardy??? Does this guy have impeccable timing or what???? He showed up at the very end of the show to help out Hulk and I. His arrival marked his return to TNA and was a much needed boost in the arm for Hulk and I to fight off Flair, AJ, and Wolfe.
Overall it was a fantastic night and a great start to what is going to be a long and hard fought war. A war that TNA wrestling will win in the end....without a doubt. I want to thank all of YOU, the fans, for supporting TNA now more than ever before. For it is all of YOU, who will make this all possible. It’s all of YOU, who will make TNA the most watched wrestling company in the world. We appreciate your support and we won’t let you guys down. We promise.
Well everyone, I’ve got to get going for this week. TNA is on the road with some awesome LIVE events coming up this weekend and I’ve got to get to the airport!!! We are in the great state of Pennsylvania this weekend. We will be in Erie, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, and Wheeling, WV this weekend and then on to Impact this Monday night. I can hardly wait.
